    Use Your Wings

    Hi Everyone
I am back today with a card I made for my monthly stamp club meeting. Last month I handed out a blank card with a funky fold and we all were to use the blank card and come back with a design.

Here is the card I made.

The card will stand on its own and has no front/inside like a regular card.
I used yellow CS and washi tape. On the left side I added a punched leaves and branch.
I thought I'd add some homemade photo corners. Added a few leaf sprigs to the left corners. I stamped the bird in black ink and colored the flower in a Spun Sugar pink using a Distressed Marker. I also used Pan Pastel Dairylide Yellow to add a halo around the bird.
I also added some glitter dots to all that white around the bird.

    Just Buzzin' by

Hi Everyone and thanks for stopping by today.
Time for a new challenge over at Crafty Creations Challenges. The theme is Stitch - Real or Fake.

Also, the sponsor for this challenge is Lacy Sunshine:

Let me share a bit of info about Lacy Sunshine

Heather Valentin is a lady who has breathed art her entire life. She was drawing as soon as she could hold crayon. Guided by her father, she found her truest joy in drawing and painting, culminating in a BA in Arts. Heather made her way in the world by creating original drawings and installations for Nabisco, Coco Cola, and sundry other corporations for advertisement and display. But Heather's true love has always been creating her own characters and sharing them with an appreciative public. She takes special joy in helping others create, whether its by showing them how to color, or by teaching which elements of mixed media can enhance a crafter's design. Art is life for Heather, and it gives her joy to share that joy with others.

I chose Buzzy's Flower and it's the cutest image.Hope you like it.

I added hex shaped pieces to the edge of the oval, using an alcohol inked panel that I had saved for just the right project.
I had a scrap of DP that had a honeycomb background that just works great with the cute buzzy image.

I added those faux stitches to the edge of the front oval.It ties in with the stitches on the bee image.

    You're Fabulous

Hello Everyone and thanks for stopping by,

Well it's the first Tuesday of the month and
that means it's time to share my Craft-Dee BowZ project with you.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More
is proud to sponsor the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge for April.

The top prize will win 3 digital stamps

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More
a division of I Did It Creations,
was created and is owned by Robyn Weinrib.
Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.
Click here and stop in at their shop and check out their wonderful selection of digi's

Let me show you you the digital image I used on my card.

Here is a pic of the image, colored but not trimmed yet.
I used colored pencils to add the color and Gamsol to blend the color out

I used the Lily image and added a duplicate but smaller image and then flipped the smaller image. That's the great thing about using digital images, you have a lot of flexibility.

Here is a closer view of those stamens

I didn't want my stamens to be black, so I covered the stamens using a Quickie Glue pen, and
then covered the glue with yellow embossing powder. (Yes you could use a VersaMark marker in place of the glue pen, but in the event you don't have the VersaMark marker, use a glue pen, it works just as well.) I then heated it just like regular embossing.

OK here is the finished card

I fussy cut the lilies and mounted them on a round shape that is off-set on the clock.
I used some of that yummy yellow sheer ribbon.
This card called for a double-loop bow and I decided the yellow sheer worked best with the colors of CS I used.

That bow was so easy to make using the Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

The tool will make a bow from 1" to 4 1/2". Perfect for all the different projects we make.
The tool is small and easy to store and is the best bow maker.
    You can order yours here

The challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ has started and lasts all month.
The theme is always Anything Goes and include a Handmade Bow.
I hope you will enter so you can be in the running for the top prize.

    April Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge

    Hello Everyone,

WOW another month has flown by. And since its the 1st of the month that means it's time for a new challenge over at Craft-Dee BowZ.

Let me share with you my inspiration card
and if you go to the Craft-Dee BowZ blog
you will see the other designers inspiration cards as well.

Since we are experiencing some great spring weather here in my area, I got out a flower stamp from Rubbernecker. The dilemma I had when making my card was what color to use on the flowers. Well I will be the first to tell you I am not a huge lover of orange, but that's the color I went with.
    Go figure. LOL

This card is an A-7 card (5"X7"). I didn't want to make a square card and the stamped image is kind of large, so I went with that size.

The stamp set I chose is a 2 step set and only has 3 blooms on it. I wanted the look of a bouquet, so I stamped the image again on the left side and then on the right side of the first stamp.

See those six sided yellow/orange pieces I added to the card, I used a punch on some orange and yellow paint sample chips.I punched them out layered them offset and I popped those up.

I outlined the blossoms with orange glitter and added gold glitter to the centers.

Next I wanted the illusion of the ribbon tied around the bouquet, so I cut a slit on the right and left sides of the stems and drew my ribbon thru the slits and added a double loop bow.

Let me show you a closer view of the bow.

I used my Craft-Dee BowZ tool to make that bow.
I chose to make a double loop bow. I think it's the perfect size for this image.
The Craft-Dee BowZ tool is so versatile, I can make a bow from 1" to 4 1/2" Perfect sizes for cards gifts and whatever else you want to add a bow to.

The tool takes up so little room, stores easy and the bows are spectacular!!
    You can order one here
